“ I am obsessed with their one particular sushi they make as a special, it’s a sashimi with smoked salmon with melted mozzarella. It is to die for. This place gets packed very fast though, I’ve even waited 10mins before the doors open to get a table and fast service. Because it’s only the wife (owner) that’s serving the tables and her husband Kazu whom is only making the sushi. So the wait gets longer as time goes on. But it’s worth the wait. Everything on their menu is delicious. ”

It's the only one that's actually Japanese authentic in the sushi chef is a master sushi chef who's been trained in the arts for over a decade and a half the fish is the most fresh I've ever tasted at any sushi restaurant anywhere around because every other one in Monmouth and Ocean county is Chinese run and they use really low grade quality sushi and they charge you way more ”

I see all of the reviews with such “horrible customer service experience”, however it is you who still doesn’t get it. Sushi by Kazu does not run on the rules you execute, but instead, they dictate their own- and that is what you don’t like... change your attitude and you will be served this amazing sushi.... or keep complaining and eat s***t elsewhere. ”
“ Jul 10, 2022 and we had a private preview! SUSHI KAZU is opening for sit down dining on Wednesday, Jul 13, 2022! Check out the new pics! Omakase, Miso White Tuna Acocado, Salmons n Carparcio. Baby Clams, Tempura appetizer, Fried Oysters. Yum yum. Jan 9, 2022 and we are still doing the take out thing. It’s Ground Hog Day.... Food is the best as ever. Kazu San and Miyumi San are taking the orders and getting them ready for pickup. If you calling in start as early as 4pm for a 5-5:30pm pickup. Please do your part and go in there WITH A MASK. Last thing we need is for them to get sick. People will not know what they miss till they can’t get it. Get the tuna carpaccio salad or the salmon carpaccio salad. Nice and light! Another fav is the White Tuna Avocado Miso salad! (I believe it has peanut butter for those w/ nut allergies) just confirm. As of June 13, 2021 Kazu is still TAKE OUT only. They are not offering sit down yet so don’t ask. I’m sure when they are ready they will let their clients know. Same good eats but take out and it’s just as good! ”
“ By far one of the best in NJ! Kazu is a master when it comes to his fish. His knowledge and authenticity shows in every bite. The temperature of the fish is always perfect. Never left disappointed. We come here for authentic Japanese sushi. PSA- you DO NOT come here for Americanized-sauce smothered/ fried half price special sushi. If you are looking for uni, monkfish liver, snapper etc, Kazu will impress. They are small. They do not take reservations. It’s first come first serve. We love it here. ”
